The Aztec empire contained marshy land with streams, mountains, and islands. It boarded the Gulf of Mexico and the North Pacific ocean, as well as Lake Texco. Tenochititlan, now known as Mexico City, is a major city in the Aztec Empire. At the beginning, Texcoco, Tenochititlan, and Talcopa all ruled the empire together, but Tenochitilan turned out to be the heart of the Aztec civilization.
